Interesting looking at DRAPER'S expense account for the last 2 1/2 years. Over $6,300.00 spent on meal tabs for over 375 people. Also picking up a tab of overr $990.00 for a Mayors Luncheon and staff. But not to worry if the money runs short, just raise the taxes.  Just how long before the majority of the citizens start to take notice??????????????

In all fairness, $6,300 over two and a half years is not a whole bunch for someone in that position.

Let's knock him for things that he should be enough for.

Non elected city staff should not have expense accounts.  They get paid more then they should already.  The whole concept of write-offs/deductions/expense accounts needs to end.

AlbertaShank I don't agree with a lot of what's come out of Drapers mouth lately - but there is nothing wrong with a senior executive having an expense account. Doing the math over a 30 month period = averages about 50$ a week. In the business world that's a paltry sum.

Again... In the business world this is a paltry sum. This works out to $16.80 per guest for a business lunch. I would say that's pretty cheap for a business lunch. There is no implication of any wrong doing. So ya, it is totally acceptable.

Have to agree...considering his position with the City the lunch expenses over that time are not unreasonable. I would expect several of those were working lunches where City business was discussed. Comon practice private or public businesses.

Did anyone anyone ever consider the common practice of "I'll get it this time - You can get the next one"?

The only way we would know exactly what was spent is if we added up all costs for luncheons/dinners/breakfasts/meetings/etc.

By the way, does anyone know if city administration holds city credit cards too?

Don:  I doubt very much if WALMART would be behind this 'overnight parking ban' but somehow think that CROUSE has brought this subject forward AGAIN.  The only comparison I can come up with would be like a'gnat' landing on an elephant's butt and demanding a fight to the finish.................well one swat with the elephant's tail and the gnat would land up looking like a UFO circling MARS.
